This is Jason from Mumbai residing in malald. I am in need of dire help for my 2011 karizma. I have noticed that my front tire and my rear tire are misaligned, there is at least a 1 to 2 inches difference i guess. When i ride on another bike from behind i can clearly see that the front tire is inclined towards the left and the rear tire towards the right. Looking at this what i understand is either the front fork is out or the rear swing arm is out. I also visited mahim fortpoint and showed my bike to kevin, he worked on the bike but i wasn't satisfied with his response because the problem was unresolved. He did try the basics like chain setting, tightening the swing arm a bit, checking both the rear axels, inspecting the fork but the problem still exist. He also assured me that the misalignment in both the tires would not result in any problem since the handling is not affected but I am not really convinced with the response. I know for a matter of fact that the top speed handling and executing turns at good speeds would definitely be a problem. I also read online that misalignment of both tires can affect the tires, chain sprockets, and suspensions as well. I am really worried because my bike is only seven months old and this problem never existed before. I personally feel it has happened due to the bad roads in my area. A whole one kilometer stretch is under redevelopment and due to which the roads are become miserable (kind of dirt road) and when I get late to work at times used to ride a bit fast than normal on those roads. I really need help on this guys since I am very upset with this situation. I thank you all in advance.

Misalingment of front and rear tire

If the front forks and rear swingarm are ok, then it could be a chassis problem which is very unlikely though.
Checklist:
1. Check if both the rear suspension springs are on equal adjustment, not one hard and other soft.
2. Check the front forks at the top most area. Its hard to explain, but in my Yamaha training, they told me that misalignment can be caused if (after front suspension oil change), the tops of the forks aren't equal to each other, while tightening them back.
This bolt-on is located at the topmost part of the fork, nearest to the handlebar.

Thanks a lot for your immediate approval and reply. As a matter of fact i did change the front fork oil recently so i know where i need to go. I would still like others to share their opinion as well.

- Try getting 2nd opinion from a good outside mechanic.
- open your seat, un-mount rear panels and look at the frame.. Try to locate any unwanted bends or you can also post pics of the same, so experts can help & comment.
- claim warranty, if its still covered.

See, that mechanic might not be a good one. The problem that I'm describing doesn't even need wheel/ fork removal. Just loosening the screw, readjusting the forks and tightening it again.
I suggest you go to an experienced mechanic, sooner than later.---

are you sure the problem wasnt present before?? i mean, for all you know, it might have been some defect.. if your bikes just 7 months old, i think the service center guys oughta do it for you free.. all you gotta do is go and complain and shout at them if they dont listen.. no matter how bad the roads, such a problem in such less time is unheard off.. i have friends who stupidly rip their bikes on bad roads as if they are offroad bikes, and still such a problem has never occurred or never happened with such intensity.. as you say over an inch of misalignment.. your bike will still be under warranty and the problem should be fixed free of charge..
