Throw a slipper at it(dont hurt it, just scare it), and repeat it a few times, they wont even think about coming anywhere close to your seat. Tried and tested on my pom, she has a habit of chewing wires, be it laptop chargers to headphones, so everytime I catch her doing it I just lift her of the ground and shake her while at the same time shouting at her, had to do the same a couple more times and she's never chewed on anything ever since. Animals scare easily, just show em who'se boss.

A small bowl of milk with a bit of poison?

Or if you don't want to go slaughtering cats then a small bowl of milk with industrial-strength sleeping drugs, catch the snoozing cat in the morning and drop it off as far away from your area as possible

              Oh.. Sorry to know that.
Well for me, it worked good, the cat left the area (garage) just after getting the hint of hit. The cat still roams around but never near our garage.
              @ All,
dont use any means/method which can kill/harm life forms. I know my post is contradictory but this is it.

Want a DIY foolproof solution? Here it is:

Take a soft cloth. Use a box of paper pins. Bend them and stitch it so that both the ends point to one side of the cloth. Do not use the pins sparsely. It should be like a dense bed of thorns.

Use this as a seat cover at night.
now put a very thin soft cloth over your seat cover of bed of thorns. I am 200% sure that after once the cat will never dream of sitting/sleeping on any other bike's seat.

Disclaimer: This process was used by me for a number of times to terminate the seat scratcher. Beware in the morning. Do not try to sit on this else it would be an experience you shall never forget. Thirdly, keep this unique bed of thorns in a safe place away from humans.

though there are several hilarious suggestions for your issue, one of the best things is to scare it while it is sound asleep. Make huge noise or pour cold water on it (I have done this).

Best and effective, keep your bike on side stand. Cat's are very particular when it comes to space for relaxing.
