I've been contacted by Satson (don't think it is his real name though) and shared a bit of what I have learned.

@Satson:- Unless you read restoration threads by many xbhphians, you'll not learn about the bike and victimize to your potential mechanics. Usually I don't interfere into personal choices but nothing can be achieved without putting some effort.

Thanks for responding to my PM's, valuable suggestions and the above links.
Actually the purpose of this thread was to identify good RX mechanics in Chennai, considering our poor DIY skills. But will go through the threads as you suggested. Actually we've already gone through some of them.
(I don't own an RX, this was for my friend as mentioned first post)

And yes, SatSon is my XBHP handle and not my real name !

I don't think revealing real names is not needed when communicating through forums, thought of introducing myself if I contact you over phone.

Help need for Yamaha RX 135 service in chennai

Hi, i recently bought yamaha RX 135 from one of my colleague. The bike is in good condition, But the RIM, spoke has to change. Also i need to give my bike for service. Is there any good mechanic in velachery region?

Kabilan, rim and spokes can be changed and nothing major work involved. Alternatively you could try servicing at Sri Motors, ekkaduthangal.

Congrats for getting a 2stroke

If you are changing the Rim's go for Hero Honda rims and spokes they are good when compared to Yamaha's rim
