  • CBR250R Insurance help...

Guys I meet with an accident on my CBR250R ABS, and now the Left Fairing and gear pedal is totally damaged, and the Handel is bent by about 15*(Degree, only in the left side)

Now I had opted for the 100% insurance over the 50% one, but still these service center guys saying I'll get only 50% on Fiber parts and around 10% on Metal parts...

They are also saying Labour cost will be Rs.2500 which is not covered in insurance...

How much of this is true and what is the real labour chargeable ???

    Thanx in Advance

First of all, if possible, please post a scan/picture of your insurance cover-note.

It is also possible that the showroom people are not aware of the benefits of a Zero Depreciation policy.

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      Hey Kidpikon,

Every company has certain clauses where they mention the amount that can be claimed through such incidents like theft or through fire. While looking out for the motor insurance, precautions like reading the clauses is a must and if you gone through an agent, you need to confirm with them. Other methods like taking reviews from people who have purchased the plan should also be considered.

        50 % and 10 % on metal ?? you sure...

post a pic along with the copy of insurance.. its its icici lombart then its a 0 dip and you'd get most of the amount..

left fairing is only 1000 rupess. 500 odd for the left handle peice and around 150 odd for the gear lever.

i had the same damages along with few other parts changed and total bill was 3728 out of which i got 3500 i got as a cheque from ICICI lombart

please check the policy and also how old is the bike....

2500 for labour .. are you sure ???
