theres no need to use primer .. especially with a matt finish paint.. just prepare the surface well.. should not contain grease, oilyness, dust etc etc.. and surface should be sanded smooth.. atleast by a 320 grit paper.. 600 will be good.. above that, is really not needed but you may choose to still use 1200 grit..

i have not heard good things about the com-paint as well as F1 brand paint... what I personally suggest will be BOSNY. its like an optimal balance of quality vs price. i have already used it on my bike and I dont know about the gloss range, but the matt finish comes out real real good.. infact, the matt finish is so good you wont really be able to tell if its spraypainted or factory painted. But you do need to prep the surface well using fine emery paper. even the slightest pits and bumps are gonna show and not get filled up with spray paint. and make sure, you use the spraycans properly at about 12 inches distance, with a steady consistent speed, move your hand across, and put 2 to 3 light coats. dont try to fill up the area by continuously spraying in one spot. that will make the paint start dripping.. also, the bosny paint is acrylic solvent or alcohol based.. (am not sure) and it dries very quickly.. 2 to 3 minutes for the second coat, and good to touch after about 20 to 25 minutes.. maybe earlier.. havent tested before that..Originally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostCan anyone tell what is the color used in the Mudguard of the Duke. Is it normal black or midnight black? Also have anyone used Com-Paint touch up kit(black/midnight black one) ----- Aeroaids Corporation - Com-Paint Touchup Spray Paint, Aerosol Spray Paint Manufacturers and satisfied? I know that it's difficult to match other colored parts, but what is your experience with Black parts?

Thanks for your reply. But Bro, I also know about Wellington. The problem is I need a professional and very good mechanic/painter to execute the jobs planned for my bikes. Now in Wellington, you'll find lot of stores and shops but the reliability varies between between Hell and Heaven. So I need info about some specific shops/stores for which anyone has prior experience, is satisfied about services executed or maybe has good reputation amongst bikers.Originally posted by kaushik12041985 View PostGo to wellington, kolkata ..u will find paint shop and bike modification shop.
Thanks Dada, I have already messaged you in FB. Surely search for that shop there. In the mean time let us unite in FB and please do tell me if you find his number/name.Originally posted by satyajitrc View PostAnupam,
Regarding PAINT Jobs I can suggest you one of the best Mechanic in Kolkata.
Although I do not have his number and forgot his name.
But the Location is very well known to me.
From Science City to Park Circus, cross the 4 No Bridge and proceed towards Beckbagan through the left Channel.
Cross the First 4 Point intersection and after Three Shops on your Left Side.
Are you in FB? Please ping me there, will try to get the Name & No.

Anupam,Originally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostHi all, I have a Duke 200 and currently enjoying it very much
. A few days back unfortunately the Bike fell(not when I was riding it; it was parked) and got few scratches/minor bruises around the leg guard, grab rails and front mudguard(all black colored parts)
. I was thinking of painting them or of a simple touch up job instead of replacing them. I tried to search this forum as well as in the internet to know about some good Bike/Car Painters from Kolkata. To my surprise, I could not find any info anywhere
. So this is my humble request to any Kolkata Biker to help me in this regard. Can anyone share any info about Good car/bike painters around Kolkata and any experience(if possible) with them?
Also, I would be doing few Mods in my Bike once the warranty is exhausted. So any info about some real good Bike Modifier from Kolkata will also help. Any suggestions regarding Mods for Duke is also welcome.
Mods: Please merge my thread if there is any duplicate or similar thread already created/alive(although, I couldn't find one specific to Kolkata)
