  • Long ride tips. Newbie.

First of all, i would like to thank everyone who answered my previous queries, and made me feel very welcome here. I have a query again
I am planning a sort of long ride. Around 2 hour drive.. 150 km. So what are the things i should take care of?

    1. Tyre pressure? its 28/33 now.. should i fill extra for a long drive?
    2. Riding tips? It hurts sometimes on long drives.. so any tips for adjustment of suspension and all?(its an FZ16).
    3. Any other long ride tips?

This thread will help answer most of your queries. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/pit-stop...long-ride.html

    As for the specific ones,
A1: Stick to manufacturer recommended Tire pressure. If going solo, don't fill up air to pressures recommended for with Pillion riding. The recommended tire pressures should be mentioned a sticker on the swing-arm / in the manual.
    A2: Refer link
A3: 150km is not a *very* long ride, many people have commutes longer than that. The only tip I have for you is to keep your ego at home when riding out on the open road, and wear a helmet, any jacket (even denims will do) and proper shoes when going out (This is if you don't have full motorcycle riding gear).

    Anyways, ride safe .
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
