guys ill be getting my license and my cbr250r next month. so i was thinking if i should install the yoshimura slip on for the bike. my main concern is the sound. i want it to be loud but not too loud that it sounds like some pulsar with some cheap modded silencer. does anyone have the slip on installed? and should i buy it for my bike too?

I hope you're talking about this:-
        Yoshimura R-77J CF tip-SS Slip-on: CBR250R 11-12 - 25,999.00..

If yes, then go for it. But I'd suggest waiting for 2K odd kms before putting the yoshi. Also, I guess you'll void the warranty. (2 yrs/32K kms)

P.S - There won't be massive increase in power with the slip on. Buy proper riding gear first.

        Happy riding

You are one lucky kid to get a 250 at the time of licence. Congrats
AFAIK Yoshi is one of the loudest exhaust in the lot. Akrapovic is the most common and many peoples likes. As per the performance part all are almost same. You won't get any rocket like performance after the install. I am not an expert in these areas. You can check the international CBR250R Forum for more info. Here's the link...

Go for Aprocavic carbon fibre slip on if u have 33k budget...

Dont go for the Leo Vince that r 20k or less, cause they r not that good (For Sound ie.)...
If u r looking for Performance, they are good...

Its just 3 months using my Leo Vince Cobra, and I m already thinking of changing it...
It has a kind of Bulletish sound

But better then spending 33k on an Apro slip on, buy a Two Brothers Full system...

It's Akrapovic or Akra not some Aprocavic or Apro Slip-On.

                First time I realized that
                Wierd that name is...

But its good, a friend in Pune has it on his bike without a dB killer, and its sound is just perfect...

But there was a guy on FB saying his Akra (Same as my friends) does not sound that good...

                Both using only slip ons...

So I guess u cant be 100% sure how its goin to sound on ur bike...

                    have got Yoshimura R-77J CF tip-SS Slip-on: CBR250R 11-12 - 25,999.00..
on my CBR and its been there for quite some time now, around 7 - 8 months. I have a db Killer added as well as I found the sound a lill too loud for my own comfort.
This Yoshi sounds just right for me and does provide substantial weight shedding.. ~ 3.5 kgs ..

cherzz.. ride safe and wear helmets ..
