buddy, plz provide more info- you said headlight assembly of your bike is changed to that of digital pulsar. plz tell us whether your meter assembly is also changed to digital from analoge.?
is your entire wiring also changed.?
when you got your battery recharged from shop you said it was showing 12.3 volts. that is not a fully charged battery. a fully charged battery should show atleast something close to 13 volts or more than 13 volts. either that guy has not charged your battery to full, or your battery has gone weak and can not be charged further. but this is just a part of entire problem.
report back with what i asked. complicated electrical problems lile this needs a step by step approach.

another suggestion- buddy you are member since 2011 and only two posts till now and that too in 2012. kindly introduce yourself in introduction section.

Thanx for the prompt reply buddy....!!!!!

My headlight was changed to Present models Headlight (May be its 2009 model...)...!!

I didnt go for Digital meter, and no change in wiring...!!!!

Cant remember surely it is 12.3 reading (May be its between 12.3 to 12.7)

I didnt possess multimeter for checking myself..

no BCU is not fitted on your bike, to fit a BCU and to gain its benifits, you will need to change wiring and lot of other parts like backlit switches and sensors.

for the problem of battery getting discharged, -

although you have already checked your battery, still i will suggest you to get it checked once again, tell the battery shop to check the gravity of battery water, ask him if he has the apparatus required to do so, its a dropper like thing, then tell him to refill with water of suitable gravity (not just distilled water) and recharge completely. then leave it there for a day and take it next day. before taking the delivery check the voltage reading and this time remember it and post here.
ASSUMING YOUR BATTERY IS OK. the problem either lies with wiring or RR unit, if RR unit is faulty, you should replace it. you can check that with a multimeter.
another doubt, you said you have put avenger coil, but which RR you are using- is it stock on? then you will not be able to use full benifit of avy coil.

I reside in Hyderabad (Andhra pradesh)...!!!

I had given charging for a full day (the battery shop man said to do so...!!!), because the previous day he charged for 6 to 8 hours and returned me...!! I went back to him saying about flickering RPM needle and blinking Green led light....!!!!

After a whole day charging, he fitted the battery in bike, started the bike and raised the throttle by keeping two ends of mutimeter on two poles of battery..!!

I think there is no increase in reading in multimeter and reading was constant even upon throttling and the reading getting decreased while self starting and horn, so he concluded there is some problem in electricals..!!!
He then said the battery is ok and directed me to go for electrician...!!!

The Bike electrician tested as said earlier and said simply Rectifier was gone without testing with any multimeter...!!!!

My doubts:
Do the rectifier plays the role for back charging the battery while engine on..???

And coming to AVY coil, i just installed the AVY coil replacing my stock coil...!! it fitted perfectly...!! Other than that no changes were made..!!! (No changes in electricals)

RR means Rectifier according to my understanding...!! Am i right bro...???

My bike is with stock Rectifier from 2005...!!!!

Buddy do you have any pics of Rectifier in Pulsar..? And the place where it sits in the bike...??

I dont know which thread i had referred in this forum, all talked about put AVY in place of stock coil and bike will be ready for 55/60w bulb...!!!

Do i need to change the Rectifier also while changing to AVY coil..?? Please tell me...!! Are there any other things to be installed..????

What your mentioning are very clear symptoms of battery drain, as your not using and DC setup (i hope) and using stock AC lines to run your headlamp, there's hardly anything which should bother your battery.

If you can source a multimeter from a friend, just check the voltage of the 2 terminals of the battery at the following times...

1- when the engine is off
2- at idling
3- at constant revving, say gradually opening the throttle from 2k till 7k rpm...

Now as the newer thing done here is the installation of a headlamp, there is a possibility that the headlamp could be connected in DC by the mech as all the newer gen pulsars have DC headlamps.
To check that do this too

4- at idling, keeping the multimeter connected, switch on the headlight, and check the reading, both before and after.

Do posts all that you've got here so we can Judge exactly what's causing the battery drain, I too think it could be a rectifier problem, but once the readings are out, everything will be cleared.

Check if the Avenger coils had been connected with correct wire connections . If it is correct then your Rectifier Regulator (RR) unit is defective, IF the battery voltage does not rise with throttle to 14 Volts these are the possible areas of problem..

No modification is done after installing new headlight assembly, the mechanic just installed the plug that came out the assembly to socket of wiring which holded the previous one...!!!
Simply he did plug and play.
The light flickers in low RPM and brightens upon twisting throttle same as like all bikes...!!
I think no DC in my bike...!!!

4- at idling, keeping the multimeter connected, switch on the headlight, and check the reading, both before and after.
11.79 and not constant decreasing and again coming to 11.79

The mechanic checked many times and simply battery is alright...!!! My battery is 14 months old...!!

Old battery gave problem after 26 months of my usage..!! No problem for it like this..!!!

--I dont use selfstart in mornings and use kick most of the times..!! I never continuosly carnk the self even at low fuel..!!
-- i use horn judiciously
-- even i use headlight judiciously..!! My city is full of sodium vapour lamps at all places..!! I switch on pilot lamps for the purpose..!!

I felt low intensity of light so i switched to AVY coil..! But didnt installed 55/60w bulb..!!

Forget to mention one thing: My clutch cable switch was made direct..! (the switch will be present below clutch lever)
That is it doesnt require to depress the clutch while in gear..!! The bike starts even without depressing clucth in gear..!!!
This is because my clucth switch worns out easily and every time you shuld buy a new switch @ 80RS...!!!!
If the clutch switch is worned out the bike donot respond on pressing self start even though we engage clutch in gear..!!! It will be a problem..!
If one follows the thing my mechanic did in my bike, one can for get about the worn out clutch cable switch..!! Now i just simply engage clutch and start the bike in gear without any tension...!!!
my mechanic did it..! he joined some wires at headlight some 3 months back..!!! He said it will not be a problem..!! But i was not a problem i think....!!!
any guesses.. Is this will be a problem???

(NOTE: But bike jumps if you dont depress clutch and press self while in gear)

Yes.. The AVY coil connections just fitted perfectly to my bikes socket...!!!!

The battery charge never increased above 12.4 even though i twisted the throttle upto 9 and decreasing again increasing throttle...!!!!

Is the Green rounded circle, the RR (Rectifier)...??? It has wire (Ponited RED) that jointed to first terminal of battery...!!!!!

It looks more like a starter relay....Never raise RPM on stationary bike/engine above 50% of max .
Logically the voltage at 3 K RPM should read 14+ Volts.

Its your RR unit that's at fault.
Why don't you go for the avenger's RR unit as the coil is also the same ?
I think it should fit your bike's wiring...
That starter relay is not related to any of these issues.

Thanx for sharing the pics of Rectifier..!! I think second one is close to my bikes Rectifier..!!! (But it is cement in colour)

IN the posted pic of my bike above, i think the Rectifier of my bike is Green colour..!! Any idea about it..????

Is it necessary to change the stock P150 RR unit to Avenger's RR, if AVY stator coil installed..??? I havent seen discuusing about it..

(Many are saying(discussed) to install AVY coil without any others adding to it.. So without any further thoughts,i did like that...!!!!)

If AVY coil is to be installed, can you please share the part number and Pic of it...!!! (Is the Avenger 180 RR unit to be fitted..???)
