  • Help me to find cables for old bullet

    Hello everyone!
I am having some problems getting necessary parts like the accelerator cable for my bullet 350 1988 model bike.I know the ci bullets are discontinued now, but shouldn't the company be making the parts anyways? I appreciate information fro other x-bhpians... thanks

Little info about your location would help people answer your query.

Thanks moderator for approving the topic...I live in Gangtok, which is the capital of the tiny himalayan state of Sikkim. Although it's a small town it still has a sizeable number of bulleteers and bikers on other steed. What we suffer from is a proper supply chain of necessary parts. Sikkim is a beautiful place and we really like to explore her to the fullest, but there is always this fear of something going the wrong way in our bikes and then...the wait for parts really kills!
once again thanks for the responce...

I have another query also...can a classic 350 , thunderbird or avenger fuel tank ( other than standard , electra or machismo ) be fitted on my bullet frame as my fuel tank has a tendency to leak fuel ?

I am eagerly waiting for replies from bullet gurus..... come on sirs, I need to survive and so does my bullet !

By the way let me know mods if there is any bike tour on the cards this part of the country... Sikkim is a beautiful place to tour on bikes and I would love to be of any help to any xbhp-organised program.

Thanks bro for your interest... and sorry for the delay in reply. Finally managed to get the cables through a local mechanic and fitted the same in my bike, and kept the old ones in toolbox as spare! By the way, can a classic fuel tank fit on a old standard bullet?

Good to hear that bro. I have no idea if it fits but please visit a RE SVC and they can guide you on that......

As a personal opinion your tank is cool and classic, why do you wanna change that?
