  • Riding the vintage 1965 Bullet with G2 Engine

    Hi all,
I am a proud owner of new (reconditioned) Bullet (1965) with G2 Engine also new member to this club. My experience with my bike so far is that, its way completely different than riding other city riding bikes. I have the habit of rev'ng it more and riding at lower gears with in the city. This problem is mainly due to my riding habits acquired from by previous bike (my old bike is Pulsar150-(2003). My mechanic pointed out that, I rather can, cruise my bike even in the city roads comfortably in the fourth gear at low speeds such as 30-40 kmph, also he suggested to stick to the fourth gear by operating clutch to small extent when ever there is drop in the speed. He has a strong belief that riding at lower gears and rev'ng it up more would damage the crank. However, with a general belief, I think, clutch riding is not a healthy riding technique for the bike as it would damage the clutch plates in turn. Please suggest me the right way to ride the heavy crank bullet.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
