Still, low mileage, can't figure out why and its CT100B on which company promotes 99 km/l
Mileage depends on where and how one rides, you know that, right?

I get 80 kmpl in highways, but I get only around 45 kmpl when I ride in residential alleys/lanes.

Highway rides always be one straight ride, that 80 kms ride happens in just about 2hours whereas this 45 kms ride takes about a month sometimes. More gear shifts, more clutch use, brakes, riding style all decides how much mileage one can get.

    BTW, I use Star City+

You are right. You were right about too much gear usage of mine, what to do cant put it in 4th gear Mon-Fri, 4th gear is used only on weekends. Today 20 km I did out of 10 km were in 1-2 gears, bumper to bumper traffic. Well, it will kill the mileage.

Why I could not believe it because company claims almost 100 mileage and I get 65 in city. Imagine riders with sports bikes like FZ where company claims 53. I was wondering how much they will get in my situation and I see lot of new bikes in city it last 30 days and half of them are FZ (or FZ-S) and they are running on what ...... 30 mileage ? half of them are students, they don't even earn yet. Thats a lot of money going in petrol. May be because I am from a small place I see students riding cycles and married ones using high-mileage bikes and did not get used to city students, Culture-Shock may be

When they claim, just read it "Under test condition".
In real life, it's hard to match that claim esp. in city bumper to bumper traffic.
