First servicing doubts

Hi all,
I gave my new R15 v2 for 1st service, it is 1060km on the odo. While enquiring what oil dey use. The svc guy told it will be semi-synthetic from Yamalube. Some where I read that it should be used after around 5k kms only. Can some one clear my query?
Also I want to know the benefits of teflon coating, my bike is one month old, no scratches on it. Should I go for it? Or is it to cover minor scratches which already happened?

Ownership log has about a quarter of a million posts about this. Have you tried searching before starting a new thread?
- Semi Synthetic is fine
- Teflon helps, so does a wax polish
