^ was waiting for this kind of post/info. Thanks shoeb ji.
    Have a question though,
fz's rear drum (?) has few rectangle passages.. Is it for cooling purpose? Will it improve braking power if done to other bikes?

If you have a habit of resting the foot on the rear brake pedal then check if the rear brake shoes has glazed.
Asbestos shoes don't last much but the stopping power they provide is very good.
(Please NOTE-Asbestos is a known carcinogen, dust particles of it can cause respiratory tract cancer)
Oh thanks a lot for the info Is the asbestos type costly than the stock ones? No i don't have that habit of resting it on the pedal but have observed others doing it.

Don't thank me,its Sibun who recommended me to use Asbestos brake shoes to improve bite.
Asbestos type shoes are cheaper when compared to non asbestos type.

Ex-Splendor's rear OE shoes cost Rs.100 whereas ASK(asbestos)costs just Rs.60.

I don't think it will improve the bite considerably because FZ itself has "not so good brakes"but it does its work as it should.

Please NOTE-After installing the new brake shoes, the bite will be very less for few kilometers because these brake shoes take some time to bed-in correctly(5-10 kms).
Once it beds-in properly adjust the brake nut and see the difference in braking.
