  • Need help for my cb unicorn 2011

I own a 2011 model cb unicorn. It has some problems, need ur suggestions for solving it.
Feeling vibration from whole body, especially more in handle.
I haven’t tuned my bike yet, now it covered around 11000 kms. From the day, I bought it, its giving me mileage more than 60. Also my bike is feeling severe power loss especially with a pillion. With a pillion its really struggling to reach 50kms and feeling better after some distance with speed above 50. Ie, not able to gain power at lower gears/speed. Is it a problem… whether I want to tune my unicorn engine to over come this issue.
From the day, I bought it, feeling like some metal parts are getting scratched from front side and middle of my bike, but not severe…but feels. So missing the riding comfort. What should I do…I told to service center person…he told No problem..
My unicorn is properly serviced bike. Don’t know why these problems are continuing still….dear friends… pls help me. Thanks in advance

    Topic Moved to Help Section.

Hmm... Metal parts getting scratched... Get its oil changed and examine the old oil. Does it have foreign particles in it?

Also, Test ride another Unicorn to confirm whether its really a problem or not.

And, by "tune" do you mean "modify"?
Don't modify your engine without repairing the problem first, ok?

I have done oil change at every service done till now.. now completed 4 free services and 2 paid services correctly with oil change.
I will explain my riding style and careing done to my cb unicorn..
first 500 kms ...i ride at 40 kmph after that done first service at 550 kms..bit early than mentioned in manual...after that i ride at 50 kmph till 2000 kms..after that till now maximum speed not exceeded more than 75 kmph.. done all services correctly as per manual. Now its covered around 12500 kms. changed air filter at 10000 kms. but still my unicorn not smooth as other unicorn..ie the " butter smooth engine" we all love in honda unicorn.. .
I have done test drive in other unicorn's .. but feel better than mine.. in other unicorn ..the difference i can feel is they all will reach 60 or 70 easily like a breeze without any vibration..... but my unicorn really struggles to reach 60 or 70kmph with heavy vibrations.....Also the engine sound is different from my unicorn...I think this may be due to low power in my unicorn engine.
Tuning...i mean carburatter tuning.. i haven't done carburatter tuning till this 12500 kms.. My unicorn has low power than other unicorn's.i think the reason for vibrations may be this low power. This is my dream bike..i bought it with lot of expectations like smooth engine, reliable, hassle free, less maintanence ... but feeling opposite to these things... pls help me to make my unicorn the real unicorn that we all love for its butter smooth engine, and vibration free.

Something is wrong with the gearbox or tappets. Does the engine sound like some "bells" are ringing inside it, at high rpm's?

Also, did it have a minor accident anywhere which could affect the crankcase in any way?

Get the cam chain timing & the cam chain tensioner checked.

First of all thanks brother for ur suggestions .....
yes, engine sound like bell ringing as you mentioned. we can hear the difference when we power ON both my uni and another uni. About chance of minor accident....from my side the answer is NO....,but i got my uni after one and half month kept at showroom...Actually my friend booked it...later when he was not able to take it because he got job at gulf...so i took this bike, my dream bike....if an accident occurred...it will be from showroom guys, that i am not sure...or i got a defective bike..Pls give ur advice about carburrator tuning....

See, if you can't spot any particular dent or damage on the crankcase, then its generally ok to assume that there was no accident.

These "bells" ring usually when the tappets are not in correct position. This could be a mechanic's fault. Tell the showroom service guys to use a gauge and adjust the tappets according to factory settings.
                All the best.
