  • Pulsar 180 UG4 front ShockAbs for Pulsar 150 UG2

My front tyre wear is uneven and the local mechanic suggested that the shocks might have a bend.Few years back i had trued them. Last last i replaced oil seals at least 3 times.I am thinking of changing the fork tubes altogether. i was wondering if New Pulsar180 fatter front shock absorbers could be fitted onto my 2004 pulsar 150. Can this be done??

    Topic Approved.

To install this big fork setup on my Pulsar 180 UG3 (2007), I checked with a mechanic and he refused.
Then, I visually checked myself too, examining both my Pulsar 180 UG3 and the P180 UG4 with the big front forks visually. Tried finding matching parts or sizes.
And I remember that I couldn't find a way to get them installed. Something didn't quite match up.

Now this was just visual guess work, so I'm not too sure about this.

      Thanks for the approval.

If the part where the T stem mates with the chasis is the same in both the models it should be possible right? replace the T stem+Fork+Cone set?. Can anyone throw light on this?

Although am not sure. But I think we can get this part in Bajaj SVC. Will check on the internet, if anything comes up will post here.

Check this link - http://chennai.olx.in/pulsar-150cc-f...-iid-258633941. A guy from chennai wants to sell the front forks for P150. However, chances are less since the advert was posted in 2011. but do give a try. who knows.

        Front fork size for P150 - 120MM. http://www.bcmtouring.com/imp/Pulsar...hop_Manual.pdf.

There is no way of putting a new gen 180's front end in to a 150. The new 180 has the same chassis as the 200/220 thus uses a 200/220 t stem also. which is much thicker and longer thus uses different steering head bearings also.

It can be done with some radical alterations as I am doing on my RD, however it would be better to go with the new 150 set up with the clip ons.

The 220 has a fork dia of 37mm and travel of 135mm. It should be the same with the new 180.
