  • Weight Reduction for RTR 160 FI

    Hi,
Can anyone suggest some weight reduction for my Rtr efi. I know exhaust is where I can reduce some.
Any other areas which has scope for shedding the weight.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      Drop the chain cover!
Get the exhaust replaced with a light weight one (dunno which one ).

You'd have successfully shaved at least 5 kg.
BTW, RTR is already light. Why this kolaveri?
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

RTR has O-ring chain and chain cover is a small piece of fiber(or metal) over the upper part, so I'm afraid removing it'll make much difference.

If the OP always ride solo / don't have female pillions usually, then he can try removing the saree guard. What about RTR's grab rails, are they heavy, if so try removing them as well.

Thanks guys. I have removed the sari guard and planning to install a lightweight exhaust. I was wondering if there could be anything else done.

No kolaveri here. I want my rtr to be quick off the blocks and reach the max speed it can do. Sorry a speedfreak here.
