  • Are bajaj pbk guys suitable for pulars?

i went to pbk last week to get my 220f retuned........
u wont believe what he did!!!

He started tuning card at 1.5k rpm and too he turned afr screw more than 6 times.....
I dont think its right way to do it.....
And when i told him that bike is not giving good acceleration,he told me that if my bike goes to 120 kmph its alright.....

this is condition of pbk guys!!!!

    Topic moved to Help Section.

Tuning carb at 1.5 krpm means? You mean he started tuning carb AFR at 1500 rpm? Was the bike heated up or cool? And what did he tune? AFR or Idle rpm?
And turning AFR screw by 6 full turns or 6 half turns? Clockwise or anticlockwise??

Please explain what exactly happened, and why did you go to the Pbk in the first place (I mean, what trouble was the bike giving, or was it due for a service?)

i was experiencing bad startup and poor pickup.

I see. I suggest you get about tuning it yourself, or get some Xbhpians from your city to help you, during a Get2gether. Which city are you from?

As of now, just make it 3.5 turns, from fully tightened position... This is not accurate, but its better & more balanced than a rich setup that you're running.

Let me know what happened after you do this... Exact rpm reading when engine is hot, vehicle behaviour, etc... you can take 3-4 days for this.
