Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

If u r 17 i guess u dont know about the qualities of bike...
Hero gives the best quality out there and will be with u for more than 10 years...having strong engine, less maintenance, less cost.

Whereas, bajaj bikes needs frequent maintenance very less people are manage to afford, and need to it sell of after 4-5 years.
Just think why that guy is selling his pulsar, there can be many reasons. People sells bajaj bike more than hero honda.

If u buy it, u never know how it has been maintained, engine has been opened or not and blah blah
and later may u come to know about hundreds of problems or may be not if u r lucky and will take you to the big pocket damage.

I would suggest to take expert advice or search yourself
      Choice is yours!
      Never hurry about anything.

To get a new bike feeling....u'll need to replace every damage worn out thing. Where no one can give u the estimation.
Only engine overhauling cost about 6000 to 7000 rupees.

FM's would be able to help you more if you could quote the price for this 2008 P220.
Advise you to call a mechanic(if you have a friend who has P220 pick him as well) with you when you go to check the bike.

Online is NOT the place to look and decide on a bike. You should be actually inspecting the bike physically with a keen eye, look for service history, insurance claims(if any); and decide accordingly.
Keep hunting, and you may chance upon a well kept piece!!
You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

Dont go for a second hand bike.. Take home a new one by down payment of 20,000 and remaining in EMI of around 6000 pm(save 30000 you have and use it to pay EMIs for the next 5 months). In the meantime make more money and you also have an option of paying full amount.
Downside: The bike will be in the name of a family member who shows the capability to pay back the amount.. else you wont get the loan.
If you are 17.. get a license to drive a geared vehicle and then go for the purchase.
