Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

J.C. Road, Bangalore. (Full name - Jaya Chamaraja Road)
All stuff related to driving/riding is available.

Went there last week to source saddle bags myself. The textile bags (like Cramster's) retail for 1500 INR.
Leather ones retailed for 5k at one shop. Was interested in the textile one though.
Take half day leave (weekends, the place is full of people) on a weekday and explore J C Road.
You can window shop at least 25 shops before making a purchase.
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

          Hi Guys,
Thanks a lot for your help. Divya-I have visited JC Road many times for helmet and accessories for my new bullet. When it comes to saddle bags I found JC Road to be quite a wrong place. Very substandard products and very expensive. Frankly speaking Bangalore is yet to be commercially equivalent to delhi and mumbai where you can find lines of shops catering to such needs in a specfic area. I though of trying stuff from royalenfieldzone.com - most saddle bags looked awsome in the range of 2000 but purchasing them without actually seeing them was quite risky.

One fine day I realised saddle bag is nothing special. Its just a bag that is hung from the side of a bike. So I decided to make one myself. I had my acer laptop shoulder bag-unused for years. I decided to use that. I went to Fixwell motors(near sandhya motors) in JC Road and asked the guy named Akbar to fix it and he did that and charged me 150/-

Here is my bike with the bag. Hope others should find the idea useful too.
