  • Getting License

I'm from Kolkata. What is the procedure for applying and getting a Two wheeler license in my city ?.

I have car license, for that I went to some motor training school and got it after giving the test. And currently Im not having any bike, willing to take one in early 2013. Will it be okay to apply for license after buying the bike or should I apply for it from now.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

6 years ago, my father applied for me & didn't need to show driving a bike. It not worth asking here, my advice is to get to any or known advocate he will guide you everything and also make it for you. As I know, you can apply before.

You need following documents : 1. Proof of age 2. Address proof 3. Couple of photos 4. Blood group report You'll need to show up in RTO office so that they can take your pic & most probably you'll have to pass a test. It's better you apply now because the sarkari babus are way too slow workers. The official fees is Rs. 90 but most probably you'll end up paying 10 times more. 5.
Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

without pimps, you cant get driving license in delhi
i got my learning for Rs. 1000/- but official fess is Rs. 60/-
now im going to apply for permanent license tomorrow and i will have to give him 1000/- more
without pimps the authority will fail me everytime its a whole chain here, fully corrupt

I don't think you need to give any document for adding a 2 wheeler privilege over your existing 4 wheeler license card/book.

You normally need to fill the licence/learning form and attach recent photo with attested existing license xerox.

And normally it will cost <Rs 500 as you already have a license just need to add a 2 wheeler privilege.

ummm im not sure but if you have car licence that means you also have 2 wheeler licence. i mean in varanasi RTO if you apply for a LMV licence, 2 wheeler with gear is ticked by default
speed thrills but kills if you dont have skills

My License card is Smart card issued on year 2008. Its accepted all over India and allowed vehicles are LMV not Two wheeler.

I heard from my office colleague that I should ask the Bike dealer to make one license for me. Is that true that they can do the necessary ?
