  • Bike not revving freely

My Bike P150 Ug2 is not revving freely. i tried revving in neutral , it doesn't rev past some limit(rev meter out of order, so dont know exactly upto what it revs).
also top speed is limited to 60, revving the bike above that Vibrates whole bike very badly so i assume something is bottleneck here.

Bike History- Done 54K Kms, new piston added before 15k kms , Clutch plate changes before 3 k kms, Valve changes 2 K kms earlier.
got tappet adjusted recently and i noticed the problem after that only , bike was doing 70 speed easily earlier and ran well on 1200 kms bike trip recently.

now i need pointers as i know mechanic will say piston is gone and change this and that to handle me a big fat bill ,Bike runs great upto speed of 60 and pickup is also excellent.
My bike never gave out smoke of any color , i change it frequently.currently on Motul 3000 20w40.
    200NS 25K kms / RE500 7k kms / Electra 30k kms / P150 80K Kms(SOLD) / i10 40k Kms (SOLD) / Tata NEXON 2K Kms

    Topic Approved.

Ensure that the wiring, specially that of the CDI, TPS Sensor, etc. is working fine. Check for damage on it.
Or maybe the mechanic adjusted the tappet too tight. Tell him to use a gauge to correctly adjust the tappets. This could be the reason most probably, as you said it vibrates hard too.

If the problem is not solved, try a different mechanic. Tell them all to do the same thing: Adjust the tappets using a gauge, not without it.

Agree with Samarth. Most probable cause of vibrations and limited speed is that tappets are too tight. Also check the carburetor if it is clogged and clean it thoroughly. By thoroughly I mean take out the jets and imulsion tube, clean them with carb cleaner or acetone. Blow air in to the air jets with a pressurized air nozzle.

first get the tappets adjust from a different mechanic. Sounds like its too tight.
