  • yamaha r15 v2.0 leaning to one side.

    Greetings,

I recently met with an accident on my R15 v2.0, slid out at a right hand corner as a result of panic breaking when i saw a couple of pedestrians running across a usually empty bend. Was clocking 45km/hr at the time. Picked myself up, the bike had minimalistic exterior damage, only had to replace the leg break lever. Immediately noticed the bike pulling towards the right while riding, went up to a Yamaha service center who charged me for a fork bend removal and wheel alignment correction but the problem persisted. Returned to the service center, who now believe its a chassis bend and have asked me to leave the bike for a few weeks.

I have a few questions to those who can help, namely

    1. Is it possible for the chassis to have suffered a damage that could cause it to bend at a speed of 45km/hr ?

    2. Is there any other possible reason for my bike to pull towards the right..? If so please let me know how to correct it ?

    Regards and Thanks,
    Avinash

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
