    Pulsar 220F back shocker Issue

    Hi Guys,



    I need some suggestion for my bikePulsar 220F. My bike back shocker is liqing. Some type of oilcovering the whole black area which attached with shocker, So I amthinking my shocker is liqing or may be varsal broke. So In thiscondition what should I do . I should change my shocker or removeolder varsal and add new . Please help me out I am not understanding. I will go for bike servicing on Saturday and it is only 4 to 5month old and 4330 km run.

    Parvez my friend, you need to make yourself clearer. What exactly is a varsal? The rear suspension of the P220 doesn't have oil inside. It is supposed to be gas filled.

    I would suggest that you take your bike to SVC and ask them what they say. For now, check if the lid of the rear brake-fluid canister is properly tightened since that is the only remotely *oily* bit near the rear suspension.
    Advice is a form of nostalgia.
    Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      @Antz :If rear brake fluid has a leakage then he won't be able to brake effectively!!

      @Pervez: DO you find some issues with rear Braking ??

        The gas filled shocks do have oil inside and the gas acts as an additional dampener.
        So there's chance of OP's shock absorber is leaking.

          Pardon my ignorance then . I wouldn't know if it does since mine has never leaked in 46k km of usage and the only thing that was refilled (when suspension got too loose) was Gas.

              And what about gas refill, is it effective?
              I've read in somewhere that refill is not that efective usually? How much you had to pay?

                Whatever they did, all I can say is it worked. I really don't remember what I was charged but it was under Rs.200 and there was no oil in that particular bill that I paid for.
