• Need a louder, bassy aftermarket exhaust for my FZ-S

Guys,

Time for your suggestions.

I have completed 20000 km on my FZ-S and now need a louder,bass-filled exhaust with boom boom sound, so that some more heads turn in crowd towards my FZ.

Already made lots of research over the internet, but could not decide. I have came across:

• Race Concepts tuned exhaust by Joel
• Leo Vince GP Corsa, costs 11500.00 in ebay.in
• Daytona Dagrex (yamaha authentic)
• Akarapovic (could not fit my pocket )
• Two brothers (tears my pocket as well)
• Yoshimura (even costly)
• KRP (Kaulson Racing Projects) exhausts

Please let me know which one would best suit me, also value for money that suits our budget. Also let me know some other techniques/ideas to make the sound louder so that it attracts crowd. Thanks

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Do not spend money on these type of exhaust, they're not only expensive but not that loud either. Take my suggestion & simply break your stock exhaust by giving one hard kick & that should make your bike the most loudest, may be in your entire city. This is the cheapest option of all.

Other option, though it involves a little money, but way too cheaper than those lousy exhausts, is to buy a wrench & remove the exhaust assembly and store it so that you may want to put it back when dogs starts chasing you; may be you can carry the exhaust assembly so that even if the Police stops you for having such loud exhaust more than the permitted 91 Db, you can say, it just fell off & you're on your way to mechanic or use it to beat the dogs that are chasing you while you ride with the other hand

Take this post in lighter sense, it's not sarcastic. Point I want to convey is that, you've a good motorcycle. If you want everyone to notice you, ride safe, wear riding gears, promote safety & there will be guaranteed attention on you in POSITIVE sense!!!

PS - Since your bike will be farting loud always, there're fat chances the same Policemen will start seeing you as cash cow, so may be you guys can come to an understanding or may be start developing a relationship

^^ ha ha ha buddy, most of bikers love loud pipes, it is his money ... his bike... let him use it, the way he want it.

my suggestion, go for the cheapest option, which in my opinion may be RC or KRP.

Haha...oh dear, come on man...Not just I want to show off, but also to gain some performance out of my bike..extracting more juice.

FYI, I live in a small city and there is no such problem with the cops...they don't do their duties either properly..

Since I have a K & N air filter fitted, I think a free flow exhaust can be a better combination with it.

And everyone likes a bass-y vroom vroom sound, not a sound like Indian Hondas...a bit womany, I feel. :P

I am confused between Race Concept's exhaust (personally designed by Joel, the Master) and LeoVince (Italian big brand) ...
And yes, I believe myself as a good/wise/responsible biker who cares for others and ride safe. Moreover I am not a newbee rather having more than 1 lac km's experience behind me on the road...including night riding, riding in rain, riding in highways, riding in villages etc...

So please suggest a better performance exhaust...let's give up the SHOW OFF thing...will talk only performance..

Saar...even I don't have that much experience. I might've traveled even lesser than you did

Re: Need a louder, bassy aftermarket exhaust for my FZ-S

I would say go for the RC one. I think Joel now offered ffe made from stainless steel(not sure), Give him a mail.
But if money isn't a problem why not Leo Vince. But I'm sure performance vise RC will be the same as Leo Vince.
It's just Leo Vince looks 100 times better than the RC made one
