  • Rear Tyre Wobbles in Pulsar 150 Dtsi

    Hi Everybody,
I own Pulsar 150 Dtsi 2006 model, clocked 49315 KMS.But currently i am facing a problem of rear tyre wobbling. When i ride bike with a pillon, i feels that my rear tyre wobbles.
So do i need to do wheel alignment for that and also let me know where can it be done ?
My rear Tyre is MRF Meteor and front is MRF Zapper FS...

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

May be many things. At 50k, maybe the tires have gone bald, maybe the swing-arm bushes have gone blunt or there may be a bend in the rim. You'll have to closely inspect on all points.

A lot of chances its because of tyre.

How many kilometer done on the tyre you are using ?
        How many punctures ?
Is the air pressure appropriate ?
Check the swing-arm's screw, maybe loose ?

These are the small and cost free things you can check and report back.
Else then you can go to some trusted mechanic or Bajaj Service. !

Hi, That may be happening due to many reason's even I own a pulsar I ride a 220 it happens due to mainly *Low tyre pressure and if you own a nylo grip zapper due to it being a bit flat in shape in low pressure it either skids or wobbles(gives you a feeling of drift) *as many said loose swing arms and even a little extra pressure on the brakes gives you a feeling of wobble! if it is really wobbling, check, air pressure, tyre condition, alloy wheels, wheel bearings, swingarm bush.

hi check whether the inner diameter of the tyre is correctly aligned with rim.

this is what happened to my dads platina the puncher guy in hurry didnt fit the new tyre correctly.

if this is ur case then go to near puncher shop they will reduce the pressure and adjusts the tyre and fills the air...

Thanks everybody for your valuable replies...
Also one thing i forget to mention you guys that, when i ride my bike at around 60 km/hr or above, my handle starts wobbling as well.
Around 6-7 months before, i replaced my cone set as well.
So do i need to change it again or need to check with trusted mechanic for the same.

                    Hi,

The problem in my bike still remains the same.
My mechanic has changed the Swing arm, Swing arm bush spin.
Even cone set has been replaced but still the wobbling issue still exists.

Now the mechanic says every thing has been replaced, now last option remained is to replace the rear suspension and see if the issue gets resolved.
I want to ask is their really a need to replace the rear suspension ?
if need to be replaced what would be the cost of it ?
Also can the issue gets resolved if i change my rear tyre to MRF Zapper Q (Currently it is MRF Meteor) ?

                    Any other advice recommended..

Have you seen the behavior of your tyre by putting your bike on main stand and rotating it ??
Do you see the tyre misalignment or some strange rotation ??

Yes, i have done it.The tyre rotates properly.I think it's due to my handle wobbling issue.

The rear wheel bearings are ok.
The problem is with the rear tyre (MRF Meteor), i came to know when i visited the MRF tyre shop.
The person in the shop told that since the tyre has been rubbed form one side only so you feel those vibrations. It may be due to bush problem long back which i would have ignored.
So now he told me since you have new bush now, the tyre is automatically come to level after riding.

So i decided to change the tyre to MRF Zapper Q,but he told let it be don't change.the Tyre will automatically come to level with your everyday ride

I want to know if i want to change the tyre should i change to MRF Zapper Q (for good grip on wet road) or is their any other tyre recommendation
