  • Pulsar 135 LS Maintenance

    Hi guys,

I recently brought my one and a half years old Pulsar 135 to Bangalore. I had used it about 2000 kms in the first 3 months. Thereafter the bike was used about 400 kms only in the next one year as there was no one to ride it back home. Only two services have been done till now. I did the first one properly. I don't know about the second one as my father did it for me when I was away.

The bike seems to be fine when I ride it nowadays. I need some help regarding how to go about maintaining the bike here onwards.

People can throw some light on the problems they are facing and maintenance.

    I do have certain questions:

    1. I am facing a bit of lower back pain when I riding this bike for long. Has this something to do with the super-hard seat??
    2. When should I change the engine oil again?
    3. Any good mechanic in Bangalore for servicing of bikes. If any please provide the number.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Hope this thread helps other P135 owners also..

    Happy New Year!

    Topic Approved.

I think you should use the ownership thread for general discussions with other owners:

Ideally, the third service should be around 5000 kms or so. But if you're concerned, you can do this service earlier too.

Thanks a lot for your reply Samarth. Actually I chose to put up a different thread, so that all non Pulsar 135-LS can also put in their views. Also there would be questions on mechanics, the information about whom will be limited within that thread. Just my view...

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to change this seat with a softer one or is this made hard intentionally for some reason. And if I give my bike for service, would it be good to get it done from an authorized Bajaj service station or some good mechanic in Bangalore??? Please help..

        Hi guys,

        Please help me with this..

        1. I travel a lot these days because of which my lower back has started paining. Has this something to do with the suspension or the super-hard seats?
        2. I feel vibes in the fifth gear above 4200 rpm. Is this common. Is there anyway to reduce this? If oil change is an option, I am ready for it... but it is said to do nly after 5000kms.. Is this true?
        3. Please let me know where in Bangalore can I get a full 'badhiawala' servicing done for my bike.
        4. Also throw some light on the chain maintenance and the products needed to maintain it.

        Looking forward to your replies!
