  • Queries regarding needle positions.

I have a HP mesh airfilter lying around withe me for sometime now i am planning to use it on my RX, i am using the stock carburettor with bigger jets pilots - 27 mains -190, stock sizes are pilots - 17.5 mains - 165 so whats stuck in my mind last evening is to which is the best position to set it for ! the factory setting is set to the third position which is neither lean nor rich, keeping the jet sizes in mind i am using can i set the needle to 4th position ? i am attaching some pics of the needle and the filters please pour in your suggestions.

    Needle pics.

The HP mesh filter i herd some negative feedback regarding this filter, please suggest me wheter should i go ahead or not.

I have used this filter on my RE machismo on different carbs.
I dont think it should be called a filter since with just wire mesh it lets in all the dirt inside the carb and engine.( I think this is enough to avoid it).

Cant help you with the exact position sitting in front of computer
but it works with hit and trial try different positions and do a plug chop at each position, time consuming but to get the best output you may need to try this.
