I know turtel wax is good but its not available in my city. Although every guy likes international products and they think its better in terms of quality, Indian goods are not bad even. I'm using waxpol from almost a year, and there are some guys who are using from so many years. Its cheap & best and easily last a month. Bike always shine.
Buddy, I am no advocate of "international" products, I do use waxpol paste wax as well along with Turtle wax ( paste and liquid both). What I felt is the waxpol paste wax being a bit granular to touch, it may contain fine abrasives ( like some of the polishes). I am passionate about my bike as well and I would think twice if something is not, or appears not to be safe. Some of the Indian online shopping portals do have Turtle wax. Formula one is one brand that I would think twice before buying as it sadly counterfeited in every part of our country.

Srikany'Jee - I can assure you that there is absolutely no abrasives in waxpol wax , just natural waxes only . I am familiar with this wax for more than 20 years now , and the formulation & package has been unchanged for as long as I can remember .

Look for waxpol or other make rubbing compound . It's a common product used in automotive painting , available in automotive(car)-paints shop of various brands - not only motomax . I am sure it's available in your place too , but maybe of a different brand .

Look in shops that sell paint , particularly shops that sell paints for car & bike repainting . Some large hardware shops keep it too . You can ask guys that do spray paint on cars etc too . It is used for paint finishing .

It helped me to fix a scratch on my visor after a fall, attempted to remove a deep scratch on my tank and brown metal paint showed up, so be careful not to rub too deep, use water paper first(wet the sand paper), then use rubbing compound, and apply a cot of wax to bring back the shine, the rubbing compound is very useful in making metal objects shine

Its a very fine abrasive, even finer than 2k. U can do this. Do what i've told u. In your case metal will not showed up, because u have layer of teflon. Don't give up, its not even impossible man, see my results. Rub it with your sand paper to see the results. When paint started to came off then use rubbing compound, and keep folding the cloth. I want u to try again.

Rubbing compound are not for fixing deep scratches. Its for very light/fine scratches. What rubbing compound to is, its sands the paint and the layer of paint which came off covers the scratches, so called it remove scratches. If u look to the cloth it will have paint that came off. Rubbing it too much will absolutely eat all the paint. So one needs to be careful while rubbing. I mean your eyes should be on your rubbing area, gaze!

Yup.. my take on Waxpol too is same. It has hell lot of wax substance on it that it will not let go of the surface so fast. Sometimes I used to have a thought that Waxpol guys were melting tons of candles to do their business , idle mind is devil's playground.

hars1988 : I will suggest you take this slow and steady instead of panicking and starting your work with unprepared list of tools. As suggested by Paul, rubbing compound or 2K rubbing compound will help you start in the right direction first. We dont want to see a unhappy biker in this thread.. And regarding availability, you can also check wooden work stockists, they have Waxpol products with them cause its a well known trade secret in timber industry where shops do easy fix on sofa's and chairs with Waxpol. They melt it first and then apply with a white spirit or turpentine as a vehicle/carrier. It gives one of the longest lasting shine in Indian tropical climate conditions.
