  • oil drain bolt stuck -plz guide me

    Hi all,

    I am planning to open bolts 1, 2 and 3 to drain oil. Is itsafe to open those 3 bolts? Will I be able to put them back easily?

    Please guide me.

      hit the bolt with the hammer (not to hard otherwise the aluminium would break) so that the threads becomes loose, the mechanic uses this method when a bolt does not opens.
      you can use some thing like this to hit the bolt with hammer or any small rod would work

        My sincere advice would be to take it to a local Mech or ASS, the reason being the edges have already been rounded off making it even more difficult to open. Telling this idea of taking it to ASS as you need not be riding around with a cracked crank case with all the jugaads you've tried on that poor bolts...

                  Thanks everyone. i took my bike to the mechanic and prob solved :P he had a socket wrench(ratchet) and socket set, he attached 17H socket to the socket head and applied slight force and voila! it opened.
