check the carb slide and carb diaphram also, in short open the carb and check for any problems. also check if accelerator cable is stuck somewhere. check CDI and HT coils. you already replaced auto choke, though auto choke was the biggest suspect. YES the remote lock can sometimes mess with electricals of a bike if either it is not of proper quality or not installed properly. BCU has no role in this. one more thing, auto choke function is to raise the RPM for a few secs when the engine is cold. important thing is "when the engine is cold" that means there must be a sensor which senses engine temperature. check that sensor, coz if that sensor is feeding wrong information to auto choke, this problem may arise.

Thanks for the detailed information brother. I had the same logic and hence got the heat sensor replaced which senses the temperature, located below the carburator. Still no change. I am sure its a carb issue because I was in bagalore for 6 months leaving the bike here unused at all and the petrol was not removed from the carburator at all. Bajaj have to replace the carb bcoz its still under warranty but they don't want to do that of course. I think I need to get the carb replaced asap.

Overhauling the carb is not such a tough task either, should only cost some 150rs form road side mechanics. They do the job neatly. But if you manage to get it replaced under warrant then well and good.

            Cheers

First of all... Thanks to team XBHP for the valuable suggestions. Finally I got my issue resolved. I forced the Bajaj Service Center guys against their will to Overhaul the Carburetor, replacing the thermal sensor and doing a head de-carbonization. Though it costed me almost 3000 bucks but the issue is resolved. Now I can switch off the bike at traffic signals and pick up instantly after start. No more wait to let the engine complete the auto race on every start. However I cudn't check if the auto race is working when the engine is really cold. It would be tested tomorrow. I was so excited that I cudnt stopped myself posting the result here.

                Thanks a lot again !

Basically I have learned a lot after joining this forum. Having passion about bikes is not just riding it rather knowing your bike is the most important thing I guess. It was my confidence on the knowledge gained here on BCU, Carburator, Sensors, Spark plugs... made me to argue and force the service guys to do it. Else the problem would exists for no mentioned time. Thanks to all the members who helped me gaining this knowledge !
