  • Wobbling problem again.

    Dear experts,
I own a TVS Apache rtr 160 hyper edge 2012 june model.
It has done 6200kms on the odometer.

1.I had went to the Nandi service station,Mysore and i told the supervisors about
the handle wobbling problem, but unfortunately they were unable to solve the
problem. When to told me to drive my bike and check out whether the vehicle is
in good condition or not,i found the same wobbling problem in the handle.

2.And the "Dhak" sound in the front fork. This problem was also undetectable
by the service centre people. The cone kit is fine, but still the problem exists.

3.And i told them that i want to register for the extended warranty. They said
that i have to pay to register for the extended warranty policy. But in the owner's
manual already there is 2 years warranty. Please someone explain me about the
    extended warranty.

    Thank You.

Extended warranty is when the compny extends your warranty by 1/2/3/mentioned years and charges a small premium for it, like Rs. 1500 or so. After incurring a problem, I don't think they will give you an extended warranty. Its usually when the bike is new.
Yes, your company warranty of 2 years will stay. And the extended warranty will only make it 3, 4 or 5 years, if you pay for it.

Other Guys, please help him out with the suspension/ frame issue...

I would suggest you to first check the con-set (handle racers). To check the racers check this link the very first post of mine http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post924993

            Once u check report back.

            For your dhak sound.
Did u hear when u hit something hard? Have pushed and checked your fork while sitting in a stand bike? If not, check it, push very hard and if u heard the sound then check where it is coming from. or tell someone either to push or to find the location of sound. and do report that.

Only apache owner who had experienced this can guide you better.

I have checked the cone kit,its alright. The dhak sound is heard when my bike's front tyre goes on to a pathole(even if it goes onto a small pathole also, the sound is heard).
The dhak sound is heard from the front fork.
              Please help out.

There might be a problem with the Fork even though they have checked.
Once get the complete fork overhauled & do tell them to check the balls/ Cone rings & replaced.
