By the way you post things, I don't think you will be interested in fixing your bike yourself; you'll start hunting for "Uncle's & Aunt's mechanic" hehe

Re: addition of disc brakes to rx

the bore's were given by my mech for free of cost both the times as he has acquired a few..i only paid for reboring it
This sentence gave me cancer And how much did you pay for the reboring? I guess those bores were running on 4th oversize and the mechanic just resleeved it to turn into stock bore again. I guess those rings and pistons aren't OEM either.

the clutch plates, con rod, engine bearings and all oil seals and gaskets were replaced when the engine was re done and it costed me around 5.5k to overhaul the engine
A proper overhaul would cost more than that as parts are hard to source and expensive. For example, a bore kit costs 8,200 rupees, bearing kit costs 1,200 rupees, clutch plates and pressure plates together would cost around 1,300 rupees. Total comes around 10,000 even if you use old cylinder. I guess your (uncle's) mechanic used "desi" parts in the engine ruining it's reliability and efficiency.

Finding genuine Rx parts are really hard, almost like a treasure hunt. I'd advise you to sell it and buy a Duke 200 if you want to feel the Rx like pick-up. Trust me, restoring a Rx costs almost the same as buying a new Duke. Ask @rxdude , he restored his rx all by himself.

Rx135 and Rx100 engines are almost same, maybe the chassis is same too with slight differences.

Here's the Yamaha RXG manual, same as Rx135 but has slight difference in clutch assembly IIRC.

Here's the parts catalog for Rx135

Reply when you download and read both

This is my last post to you...repeating once again...
          1. Download Rx135 Workshop manual
          2. Download Rx135 Parts Catalog

If you can't get this simple thing, then...
          1. You're lying to yourself that you're fed up running to mechanics
          2. You're really not interested in learning things
          3. You still want to take the easy way

[/MENTION] rightly said, if you want to learn and keep the rx running, then it starts from you. Boldly take up few workshop manuals and try exploring the bike with set of tools slowly and step by step.

Here you have Aargee, Yamdoot, Vijaymeyou, dj666, rxdude, satishg, jayakrishnanv and the list goes on. All of them have done their bike restoration from the scratch and their expertise shared are from their own experiences. Read through old threads when you have time.

Hope that is not an "Indonesian" bore. Pictures of the bore and the box that the bore came in would be appreciated. Make sure you get original parts, a lot of stockists put fake parts in original packaging.

It will b preserved for future as i opened the bore on my bike
took it to lathe guy and got it confirmed that it's an
unsleeved bore and running on second oversize art piston and rings

finally the mileage problem is solved...got 37.8kmpl with 30ml oil....thats not bad in bangalore traffic....
and the culprit was faulty coil....there was no proper current flow when checked....replaced with stock coil and stock cdi....
stock coil cost was rs 550 and stock cdi kit costed rs.650(again sourced both from hosur)..... thanks a lot for all the people who were involved in this discussion and helped me out
and special thanks to sriram bhai and my mechanic baba bhai

Good to know that problem is resolved. I guess we are missing details here.

When did you check on the current flow?
How did you check current flow at the plug?
What is the optimum current that should flow?

I don't have to be thanked as the issue was never carb setting but completely different area.

Now, your reply to the followup questions will be one of the ways to check and troubleshoot if occurs for anyone.

the adapter to the plug from coil to spark plug was removed....every time u kick start the bike it should produce the spark that is used to ignite the fuel....but the spark was not present on each kick...then the coil was removed and checked with an electrician and there was a fault with it....dont know whether the old cdi was in good condition or not...replaced it along with the coil as they were the parts that had come with the bike and not replaced once...happy that problem was solved finally
