Re: hunk oil leak not reflected in oil level indicator

thanks a lot sumit poi, for responding to my query.i just returned from my mechanic, and saw your message. as I was suspecting, the cylinder bolt which I pointed out in the previous picture was loose and the nut was slipping. my mechanic, opened the head, and took it to lathe machine for rethreading. he inserted a copper stud in place of the lost threads and put back the screws. now the screws are pretty tight. haven't seen any leak as of now, will test it tomoro on the highway to see how it holds in high speeds. once again thanks for confirming the shape and size of the dipstick. I don't know how my stick has gone out of calibration. have changed to Honda 10w30 as gulf was not available in the shops nearby. will get to know if my problem(leakage) is solved in a couple of days I guess.

and also, as part of my preparation for 10,000 km ride, today I have bought a new spark plug from bosch. the one used in pulsar series with the bajaj logo on the cover. actually I was looking for ngk CPR8EAGP-9 MODEL. this model is recommended as better for hunk by the ngk company amongst its models.
