  • Installing different bike carburetor into bike.

Can we install Discover 125cc/Yamaha Ray or any other 125CC bike carburetor in Yamaha Gladiator Type SS 125cc bike 2009 model? Bajaj genuine carburetor is very much cheaper than Yamaha( Discover carburetors cost is around 1800-2200/-INR where as my stock carburetor more than 6000/-INR) I use that bike to travel few kms as normal user. How is Nikavi Carburetor ? Please help

psr sir, requesting your guidance please.
If I am not wrong, it is recommended to use venturi size 3 mm to 4 mm bigger when switching to CV from SS. It also depends on the diameter of the intake manifold and the jet sizes your selected two wheelers for it to fit perfectly without air leak. Jet sizes are also key. Hoping to hear from psr sir.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

If I am not mistaken the Gladiator comes with CV carburetor so,The Three important things to match here are the Carburetor should be CV ( constant Velocity )venturi size ie., 28mm or 29mm etc., and the presence of TPS..Throttle position Sensor . The balance spec as jet size etc., can be further matched with spares commonly available

thanks for your reply. yes yamaha gladiator having CV carburetor with TPS sensor. actually due to price factor i want to install carburetor from other same CC bike( from model with CV Carburetor). found bajaj carburetor is very cheaper than my stock carburetor. i dont want to expense more money on my old bike. i just use my bike for few km normal drive daily.
