  • Engine oil

I am little bit confused here, well till now I have been using moto 4 gold 20w50 on my seed I.e. bajaj avanger 150cc a 2016 model. Bought her on January 22. Well the bike is amazing and going strong but now I feel like changing the engine oil to castrol power 1 20w50 only. As in this winter I have faced real bad times in the morning. The bike was so cold 🥶 that it has taken me like 10 10 min for the bike to get hot. I used to go to abroad for 2 months every winters, it is because of covid I have stayed back. Now this problem 🙄 can u help and advice how is this engine oil. Oh by the way it the mint blue color 150cc. The new model.

I would recommend you to use 10w40 or 15w40 engine oil for your 150 cc motorcycle. Too thicker a grade oil can have high viscosity which would mean the engine won't get lubricated adequately which can in fact cold cold seizure due to poor oil circulation. 10w40 is a good choice instead of 20w50, especially for cold climate.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

Check your manual what Oil viscosity grade is recommended in that. If its 20w50 then you can use Xw50 oil safely where X is = 10 or 15 or 20. Where do you live? If your manual says 20w50 I would recommend using Motul 3000 15w50 (blue label) oil. Power 1 will be synthetic and i dont think you would have covered more than 2500kms so I wont recommend synthetic oil right now.

Replace the spark plug and engine oil has you are running on slightly Thicker oil(in cold conditions). I think 15W50 is recommended oil grade, you can use Castrol Power Cruise.
