  • Getting more out of the dead battery ?.

    Hello,

I've been using a cheap battery in my Pulsar 150 DTS-i for past 3-4yrs. The battery is long gone now, it barely blows the horn properly, electric start is out of question.

So, I was thinking about doing some experiments to get the last bit of juice out of this battery before I think about replacement. Here is what I'm considering and I want to know about your opinion.

    > I'm planning to drain the battery completely i.e. remove the sulphuric https://krogerfeedback.nl https://talktosonic.onl https://talktowendys.vip https://whataburgersurvey.onl acid and water mixture from the battery, then refill the battery with acid and water, and charge the battery once again.

    or

    > I would remove half the mixture and add only sulphuric acid till max and then charge the battery.

    or

    > I'll drain the battery completely and add only distilled water considering some acid from the plates would work with the water and further charge the battery.

I'm strongly considering the first option, however, I ain't sure whether it will work or not.

    UPS Battery
Also my UPS battery went dead yesterday. I tried to use the battery in Pulsar and voila the electric start was working efficiently. However, I did a fool's job by inverting the battery while trying to push it in the compartment and the battery went dead beyond recovery. Now its useless, else I might have saved some money.

Do any of you guys have used UPS battery in their bikes, I don't think it has any threats whatsoever. I was thinking about buying two 12v 7.2Ah UPS battery one for my UPS other for my bike.

    thanks

The amount of effort and time that will be invested in this is quite a lot, on top of that I suppose you can easily source H2SO4 hence thinking of this in the first place. I would still say a new battery would be a better investment since its saving you time, and you dont have to calculate mixture and molarity of how much H2SO4 you would have to add.
But if you have the bug then do it go with the first option but with correct specifications.Never heard of anyone using UPS battery in bikes.
