i am new to this forum, so admins please feel free to move this thread , if i posted it on wrong section.
so i want to ask you guys about a problem with my bike.
it is a 2016 model RTR 200 4v carburettor version. currently i am just above 17k kms. ( i stored my bike for 2 years before.. ) . For last 2 years i am using the bike for small daily commutes and occasional long rides.
i fitted my bike with tvs's rtr 200's slipper clutch and changed my engine oil to 10w40 motul , along with twin head spark plug ( those in 180 rtr's) . i did everything in tvs showroom, with all tvs original spares . and tvs changed my ecu ( cdu as they say ) to revision 2 ( is it ??) for free ( they called back me for free change at that time )
and i was riding the bike for last two years with out any problems. ( twin head spark plug + cdu change + 10w40 helped to fix the cold start problem , which was common in that version of bike.
two months before.. i had an accident.. skidding.. and it ruined one side of my bike.. handle, gear lever, footrest, tank cover.. etc.. cost me 13k for changing. how ever.. there was no damage for any engine parts or similar working parts.
and now they give back the bike last week ( these fiber parts are so hard to get.. and it took two months for tvs to deliver ) . now my bike have a weired problem. it is not as smooth as before. it have fireball like pop sound through exhaust at low gears , feels less powerful, feels like skipping power cycle. i reported it.. and they cleaned my carburettor.. and changed the spark plug ,same twin head spark plug i used before. i changed my engine oil (10w40 motul full synthetic ) just before 2000kms.
the pop noise comes only when the bike is in low gears.. 1-2-3 and only when the throttle is revd upto some rpm and then closed completely, can hear it when i go down through downhill roads. it feels like fuel is not burning properly.. or the engine is not getting enough air . ( i changed the air filter too before 2000kms ) .
i told the service center about this.. they checked air filter, spark plug, ignition, carburettor, etc... and told me that they never adjusted the air / fuel screws on carburettor. and the filter and spark plug are clean. and ignition is proper. and the guy adviced me to try changing the engine oil and check.. because it was stored for two months ( i am not going to agree with that... ) ..
so what may be the problem with my bike.. ?? it was running smoothly before two months.. and it ran only 17k. everything was kept perfectly in fine condition till now. i always make repairs and replacements at proper intervals. now the bike have this weird problem. and i am worried.
can anybody tell me what could be wrong ? your help is very much appreciated.
