  • CBR 250R leaking at head

Hello, I've been looking for a used CBR 250R for 3 months as there is no production of it since 2019. I've seen 7 bikes so far all of them have severe to moderate leaking at the head (all are driven less than 10k).

Is it common for CBR 250R?

    Please help me.

You can't just have oil leak issues in 10/10 bikes, if you want an good bike just hire a good mechanic/ guy who understands such bikes. Honda is known for reliable bikes and cbr250 is one of the best 250cc of the last decade. I personally own one from last two year's (I brought 2012 candy red one).

No. I have been riding a CBR 250 for 10 years. There has been no leaking of Engine oil or coolant or break pad oil till date. I would not recommend these motorcycles, it's not a common issue.

All the bikes I've seen so far are 2018-2019 models and the finishing isn't on par with pre 2018 models.

I have 2012 cbr250 and my bike has oil leak at head cover. Since the head cover gasket doesn't have any coolant lines i am assuming it's not a dangerous thing to worry about. I just keep eye on oil level every weekend. Odo 75000.
