  • Yamaha FZ starting only when the carburetor is half closed

My Yamaha FZ 2012 was running on Pulsar 180 carb for the past few years. Recently there was something wrong with the float and the petrol started overflowing.

I opened the carb and cleaned everything. But now, the bike refuses to start unless I close the carb intake side by half with my hand. Any idea why this is happening?

Ride safe. It's always the other person's mistake.

The issue was with the sliding piston and of the carb. Since it was an old carb, I decided to replace it with a new Pulsar 200 NS carb. Runs fine now.
