  • Pulsar NS200 BS4 pickup issue

    Hello everyone,

I own a 2017 Pulsar NS200 BS4 model. From the beginning itself, I've maintained the bike during the run-in period and did not cross more than 5k RPM. The bike was performing well and there were no issues related to the pickup. After a year or two, I've started noticing the issue. The bike used to pull suddenly after reaching 7.5K RPM. But it started to pull like that after reaching 8.5K RPM after a year. I've asked the showroom people and they said it was due to the damaged diaphragm. I didn't get the diaphragm changed. Now, after 4 years, in facing different issue. The RPM has to cross 8.5K RPM to make a sudden pull. But sometimes, it won't make that sudden pull even after it reaches 8.5K RPM. The pick-up on the 3rd gear or 4th gear is so poor sometimes that it won't reach 7K RPM also. Sometimes it'll reach that RPM like it used to do before, when the bike was new.

Can anyone suggest what might be the exact issue or how to fix it?

    Waiting for the response.
    Thanks in advance.

There may be many reasonsfor this problem in your bike, but i will still tell you some reason. firstly your bike ht-coil is not working properly
seondly may be spark plugs destroy in every 1-2k kms because HT-coil is waste. and other problem is local clutch plates. you should replace genuine clutch plates.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have any idea about HT-coil, but the clutch plate was replaced once with the genuine stock clutch plate itself. Will get the HT-coil checked. Will there be any other reasons apart from this?
