If you have got it registered in AP, why not ride it to chennai? As far as riding without NOC goes, well you never know, some cop will catch you sometime and you might have to pay the price(if you know what I mean).

there is another thread here on an identical topic where a bike is gonna be 'shifted' from delhi to hyderabad.
knowing the genuine notoriety of all traffic pandu's in our country, i suggest that u either get the bike registered in the state that u plan to use it in or get the life-tax paid - that will be a significant chunk.
i had transported my MH registration Splendor to Chennai & was using it there for 6 months - but always made it a point of hiding behind bigger vehicles @ traffic lights etc. - but then that was some 20 yrs back...
no such luck for u though - u possibly cannot hide a ninja no matter how hard u try ;-)
