  • Original seat assembly for Apache RTR 200 4V

Hey guys, I searched for this on the forum, but I couldn't find a thread related to this topic so here goes.
I have an Apache RTR 200 4V RE 2.0. Two years ago, I took the bike to a seat cushion shop and added extra cushions to make the ride comfortable.

The cushion was fine for a while, but, I started getting mild discomfort on my butt after sitting on it for about 20-30 mins. Also, now, I have started getting discomfort and mild pains in my lower back whenever I drive on Mumbai roads. The pillion seat is fine, but my seat is not. I think I've made the biggest mistake of my life!

I was looking to replace my seat with the original seat assembly. I am yet to go to the SVC and check for the part. Has anyone done this before? I haven't been able to find this part online. Can you tell me what it would cost to replace this? And where can I find this?

    Thanks a lot!

Check with SVC. Sometimes, have to place an order since they won't stock a rarely sold part. I've bought seat assemblies similarly from Yamaha, KTM, and RE. Yamaha still provides FZ version 1 seat.

Regarding your question about replacing your seat with the original seat assembly, it's always a good idea to go to your bike's authorized service center (SVC) and inquire about the availability and cost of the part. They will be able to provide you with accurate information and also install the part for you if needed.

If you are unable to find the part online, it's possible that it's not readily available for purchase online. However, the SVC should have access to the part and be able to order it for you if necessary.

Regarding the cost of the part, it would depend on the specific model and year of your bike, as well as the region you are in. The SVC would be able to provide you with a quote for the part.

I hope this information helps, and I wish you a safe and comfortable ride.

I understand your concern about the discomfort you're experiencing with the modified seat on your Apache RTR 200 4V RE 2.0. Replacing it with the original seat assembly is a good idea to address the issue. While I don't have specific information on the availability and cost of the original seat assembly for your bike, I can provide some general guidance on how you can approach this situation.

Authorized Service Center (SVC): Visiting the authorized service center for your bike would be a good first step. They should be able to assist you in finding the original seat assembly and provide you with the necessary information regarding availability and cost. They may also be able to guide you on the process of replacing the seat.

Online Resources: Apart from the SVC, you can also explore online resources to find the original seat assembly for your Apache RTR 200 4V RE 2.0. Check the official website of the bike manufacturer or their authorized spare parts sellers. Online marketplaces specializing in motorcycle parts and accessories might also have listings for the specific part you're looking for. Make sure to compare prices and read reviews from other buyers before making a purchase.

Online Forums and Communities: Engaging with online forums or communities dedicated to biking and motorcycle enthusiasts can be helpful. Post your query there, providing details about your limo model and the specific part you're looking for. Fellow riders who have faced a similar situation or have replaced their seats can share their experiences, recommendations, and possible sources for the original seat assembly.

Local Bike Repair Shops: Reach out to local bike repair shops or upholstery specialists who deal with motorcycle seats. They may have knowledge of where to source the original seat assembly or suggest alternative options that provide better comfort without compromising the bike's original design.

When replacing the seat assembly, it's important to ensure that it is compatible with your bike model and fits properly. It's also worth considering professional installation to ensure a secure and safe fit.
