  • Yamaha RXG Problems

    Hi guys,

I have restored a 1997 Yamaha RXG 135 in Feb-2021, I am facing some issues since the restoration. Note that, Mechanic has charged me only 25,000 so he might have compromised on some places.

The major issue I am facing is Jerking, For example, If I am on 50 in 4th gear and if I close the throttle, it jerks a lot - if I press the clutch, Jerking stops. Some say it is because of the RXG clutch, some say it is because of the piston. ( I am on 50 IPL piston)

Second is, when I ride on high rpm for 20+ kms, then the bike takes time in idling. The rpm becomes high on idle and struggles to set normal.

I know xBhp is the best place for the solution, If someone can please advise me what should I do.

Some facts: 50mm piston, carb is new, air filter assembly is new (no air leak), magnet is rx135 one as 97 model, clutch rubbers are gone- going to make that katora.

    Thanks in advance.
