  • Good Mechanics/Tuners Recommendation & RPM issue- Pulsar 200 NS, BS3-2012 Model

    Dear All,

Please provide your inputs if possible for below two points:

    Background of this post:

    I own a Pulsar 200 NS - BS3-2012 Model.
It has done so far only 32-35000 km. I mostly use it for leisure riding (morning weekend rides), not for commuting. I ride very less each month, less than 300 km.
There was no problem in the bike from Sep 2012 till Dec' 18. No accident. Timely service. No harsh/rough riding.

But since 2019, I am facing a very strange issue. Whenever there is a rain, whether the bike is covered or not, the next day onwards it does not start normally.
Choke is required. And even after choke the bike does not idle at 1350-1400 rpm. It does idle only for 5 seconds then shuts off like power is drained.
The battery is new and the carburetor is also new (changed the stock once in mid 2019 as it stopped working).

Then in order to keep it running I have to keep the rpm above 3000 at any gear. If I shut the throttle at any given point like traffic stop or slow traffic filtering, then the engine shuts down. But there is no problem if I keep the bike at 3500 rpm and above in any gear; no issues faced at higher speeds and gears.

Now, surprisingly I got the bike serviced at in Dec'2021 and explained this issue to the new Bajaj service center that I had been facing from Jan 2019 to Nov'2021.
he problem was fixed by thoroughly checking the bike by Service Manager-Carburetor cleaning/flushing + electronic components check (alternator, starter, ignition system etc) + cylinder head (valve settings/timing). The bike ran perfectly till May'22.
Though there was still the starting issue. Some days it wont start with one self start.

Now from June'22 onwards, the problem still persists. Not sure why. In past I got it serviced and checked at two authorized Bajaj service center but the bike again shows the same problem. I have had complained about this to Bajaj customer service but again no resolution. Every time they sent me back to same service centers where the issue was not fixed.

So if any one can recommend trustable Good Mechanics/Tuners centers in Delhi-NCR, please mention.

NOTE: My bike was never serviced at any local unauthorized road side mechanic service centers.
