  • Reg. change of orignal silencer of RE Hunter 350 with original one

Recently I got the delivery of my brand new Royal Enfield Hunter 350. Being a new rider, I practised it (very safely) for couple of days in my society premises. Later it is observed that at the bottom of the silencer, there's a very long and big scratch. On sending the video to the RE sales guy, he simply offered me to change it without asking single question. He promised me to change the silencer with another original silencer of Hunter 350 in his stockyard

    I have few doubts -
    1. Though he himself admitted that something must have happended during PDI, I wonder how did it got at first place?
    2. Shall I continue using scratched silencer without any harm? Or do I really need to get it changed with original one?
    3. If it is changed with original one, what would be the impact? Would there be any harm to the engine, or any part of the vehicle?

Any inputs will really help me in this regards.
    Thank you
