  • xpulse 200 4v BS6 wobbling issues

Hello Xpulse owners and xBHP Gurus,

I'm a newbie here. I would like to seek your help/advise and suggestions regarding an issue with my xPulse 200 4V BS6 that I bought just couple of months back from RT Krishna Hero showroom, Electronic city, Bangalore and have rode around 950 kms so far. I'm facing an issue with the front forks or cone set and i'm not sure if it is a known issue in other xpulse bikes. I did test ride couple of bikes belonging to other owners however, I did not notice the issue in their bikes.

The issue is, when I throttle and ride in 30-40 kmph, and release the throttle and take my hands off the handlebar, the entire front part wobbles slightly. The same wobbling is experience at speed of 60-70 kmph. The intensity of wobbling is more when I put my Givi 32 ltr top box. When I checked with Hero they initially said it is because of low air pressure in the tyres. I did fill the air pressure to the recommended PSI in front and back tyres. Even then, the issue still persisted. Then I went back and forth to Hero service center and they agreed to check the bike. They took few days time and told me the forks were misaligned and they have rectified it and even did wheel alignment. They also made the cone set tight which made the bike to go automatically to the left side when the hands are taken off the handlebar. I lost hopes and visited a garage near my house. They checked the bike and told me that they will remove the forks, fill it with new fork oil and seal, align the forks properly and do a wheel balancing and alignment check. They did everything and after the service, the ride quality is good however the original problem is still unresolved. The entire front part of the bike still wobbles when I take my hands off the handlebar. The senior person or the garage owner adviced me that I should be worrying only when the front portion wobbles when I accelarate and not when it decelarates because, the engine braking pushes the force to the front and the forks try to balance themselves because of the force. I agree it to a certain point but my doubt is, if that is the case, why is it not experienced in other xpulse bikes that I test rode and only in my bike?

Please advise as to what could be the issue and how do I get it fixed. Should I be considering to change to long travel USD forks and heavier T-stem?

As this is my first ADV bike, I'm very much confused as to why this issue occurs in my bike.

    Thanks,
    Madbikerboy

    Post Approved.
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

damn no response to this in almost a year

if the Issue is still there then please get the rims true and balanced. basically tightening of spokes and balancing the wheel.
still not resolved, then get the fork alignment done.

I have the same issue. I own Suzuki Gixxer sf 250.
I changed the tyres to Apollo alpha h1, the issue started after this. As per svc request, I have changed front parts t stem, racers (cone set) and got my wheel aligned.
          the issue still persists.

For me, I have to get the tyres checked by Apollo as last resort. If issue is found, they will replace the tyre.

the issue usually occurs if the tyres are cupped. (not even circle), there might be mm of difference on tyre. This causes vibrations, it causes shaking.
Get the tyre checked from tyre showroom or just replace the front tyre and check. It should resolve.

many people have faced same issue, after replacing the tyres the issue was resolved.

Also if your bike is in warranty, write a strong mail to Hero customer care, mention the issue and ask them to show another vehicle which does this. They should resolve this under warranty. You have to follow up strongly if you value your money. Tell them if they cant resolve the issue, they can keep the vehicle as it is dangerous.

There was one case where one guy bought TVS Apache RTR 200, and was facing same issue. The SVC as him to get it fixed outside. The guy wrote a strong mail to TVS and they found some issue with front caliper/ disc. changed whole front end, and the issue was resolved.

Thank you Ijs & kukreja34 for the responses. Here is an update.

as you mentioned, many other people also suggested me to change the tyres. I did change both the tyres to Reise from Ceat. I wrote an email to Hero customer care and immediately got a call from the dealership service center where I bought the bike. They asked me to bring the bike and promised to fix the issue. They kept the bike for nearly a month and literally did nothing but everytime I ask them they said they are working with Hero technical team and doing things as per their guidance. I was patient until sometime and then went one day to see what they are actually doing. They are totally useless. They do not have a clue on what needs to be done. I went and spent a whole day at the service center asked them to change to my new tyres that I bought myself as they kept saying they do not have stock of ceat tyres. Front rim was replaced in warranty. They claimed to have checked cone set, T stem, swingarm alignment etc etc. nothing worked. I finally lost my cool and took my bike back home. The issue is still there but I have learnt to ignore and ride the bike. I only get frustrated when I take the bike on highways. When I go beyond 60 kmph and take my hands off the handlebar, it keeps shaking. Anyhow I decided to use the bike for sometime and later sell it when I want to upgrade to a better bike which is of some international brand.

Put the bike on center stand, check if rear tyre, sprocket is wobling
