I own a 1991 yamaha rx100 which i had bought back in 2018. The bike was completely restored in 2020.
Recently i have noticed the bike's acceleration in the top end has reduced drastically. The torque of an Rx at top end of each gear has reduced and is non existent now. The bike has a good mid range though and i have achieved that when the mechanic retuned the carb recently. He had even cleaned the carb and air filter. But still the bike feels lifeless as the torque has reduced so much. Can anybody here help me out what the issue will be? There is oil leak from the exhaust though. Not much, but when i park the bike, i can see small drops of oil dripping from the exhaust. There are no cracks or dents in the exhaust.
Some points-
The bikes clutch and engine were completely restored with new clutch hub, disc, plates, new engine bearings all OE. The crank was replaced with a used OE crank which came with a standard size connecting rod. Piston is at .75 and the piston make is SAM. Carb is mikuni japan make. The exhaust has stock muffler. I haven't changed the exhaust because i liked the sound. The bike performed well 2 years ago when i restored and i have driven around 13000kms since then with usual maintenance like oil change, brake pads, carb cleaning, replacing spark plug etc.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
