First of all, before you attempt anything, confirm that the bike battery is 12v. This can be confirmed by checking the official website for specifications of the 'Electricals'.

If your battery is 12v, you can use anything from a Car to a truck to a similar bike as a donor machine do jump-start your bike. If your battery is not 12v, you probably wouldn't be needing this guide since your bike has a back-up kick starter .

Secondly, you need 2 heavy gauge electricity wires to get the job done (if you don't have jumper cables at hand i.e.). I have personally found the AC (Air Conditioner) power cable to be sufficient to start a bike.

All further instructions are same as those when handling cars. The same can be found here.

CAUTION: Never let the 2 cable ends touch each other under any circumstances or else you will have 2 vehicles needing a jump start.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

you mean you left the ignition in the 'ON' position and let the headlight remain 'On' ? you mention that the instrument console isn't lightening up, so tell me what happens when you push the starter button ? And doesnt this bike have a Kick starter ? I am sure it does, cos i looked it up on the RE site .. come on be a man and give it a few kicks
I am surprised the TB500 (which is a fuel injected bike) doesnt have a mechanism/control (or does it??) whereby the lights go off after a few seconds if the engine is not running.. even the pulsar has such a automatic control to prevent battery drain.

You should be calling the RE service center to see if they can guide you or come down and help you with a spare battery (or call exide/amaron if ur battery is made by them..they have a hotline)
If you are comfortable doing jump starts.. you can proceed with what Antz has mentioned.. but first you need to be sure its a battery drain issue.

Re: How to jump start a bike

Recently, I bought a 30,000 mAh jump-starter from Ali Express costing ₹ 3,651.25 plus ₹ 860 of customs duty, totalling ₹ 4,511.25 to take care of emergencies. Even after 2 weeks, it retains the full charge with all the 4 LED indicators illuminating. According to the manufacturer, it has a life cycle of 3,000 times. I successfully test-charged my phone and laptop several times without any issues. But, I am yet to test the jump-starting, which I will do to awaken my Thunderbird 500 from the next hibernation! It weighs 500 g and measures 165 x 79 x 40 mm. Now, I can use this jump-starter both in my Thunderbird 500 and XUV 500.
