  • Electric start for Machismo 350

i have a bullet machismo 350 2001 model and was wondering if it can be fitted with an electric starter kit. and if i can, what would be the pros and cons.
also what would the approx cost be..
i am planing a trip to leh from delhi and want to have the kit installed as it is going to be a pain to warm up that machine in that kind of cold..
    plz advice..

I have heard Bullet mechs say that retrofitting the electric start would cost around 25k. I know it sounds absurd and I am not sure about the veracity of this info either.

This is a CDI replacement kit for CB points
what he needs is self start.

              What???
Do you think electric/self start will solve this problem?
All you need is to get it tuned properly
one kick and it will come to life even in coldest conditions.

Beleive me you would be better of with the kick start. yours is a STD MACHO that means if the bike does not start and you keep on cranking it with the Self you would be F#$Ked as the battery would be discharged and then you will be standing there without any support.

                very true.what akshay said.

i have never used a thrid kick to start my bullet.
first kick is the decompress kick with the choke on.
second kick is to crank it and the bullet starts thumping. though my owner ship is not that long it has been just 1.5 years now

i think then it is a better option to drop the idea of a self start and spend that amount on other useful things..like maybe a disk brake n stuff

seems now we are talking. yes the idea is good drop the self start and go for disk, good alloys, tube less tyres (I am not sure if you have ever had a flat tyre for bullet if you do you would understand the improtance.) good seats, you have a STD MACHO so HID is out of question. and a lot of other thiings.

all these would help you do the Leh
