  • Squeezing sound from rear of New Suzuki GS150R

    hello everyone,

Nice to join you after a long time. I just bought a Suzuki GS150r last week and its running fine , but presently i have noticed a squeezing sound from the rear of the bike ( seems like from the rear suspension ) , when I ride solo its less , but when with a pillion it gets louder. I have tried to push the bike up and down by keeping it on the center stand and I hear that noise too. Now the advise I need is , as Suzuki service centers are little far from my home , and my 1st service is after 15-20 days so shall i check it with a local mechanic , or should i continue riding it with the noise as this week i will get no chance to go to the service center. also ise there anyting i , myself can do to fix it ?

another thing is its just 200 km run and i have changed the engine oil (Minaral) & the oil filter , riding it under 4.5 - 5 rpm (as much as i can) , its returning a average of 44 kmpl , is it ok ?

    Please advice. (T.Y)

According to me, the squeezing sound you must be from either the shocks or the brakes. . . I don't think it's a major fault but I think it's something to do with the oiling or if it is from the shocks only then it must be that when you apply pressure on it, it makes a sound, I think that's what you mean. . . May be as it's a new shocks, you might get that problem and as said oiling might be needed there to stop it. . . Wait until you go for your first service and get the problem corrected there, if possible try to go and get the problem rectified now even if it's far away or else if you can manage, then just be like that until your service. . .

Hi thanks. I just asked a mechanic and he told me that its due to lack of greese. He applied greese to the suspension rods and the noise is gone.

        Thanks for the help.
